The Eikon Exhibition Centre is proud to serve as the chosen venue for many exceptional events, including the Royal Ulster Premier Beef & Lamb Championships, organised by the Royal Ulster Agricultural Society (RUAS).
The Royal Ulster Agricultural Society is the proprietor of the Eikon Exhibition Centre and so we were delighted to hear the Championships had been shortlisted at the NI Farming Awards—and even more thrilled to celebrate its success in being named Farming Event of the Year.
This year’s NI Farming Awards saw the 2024 Royal Ulster Premier Beef & Lamb Championship take home the top title of Farming Event of the Year. Introduced by Farming Life and Farm Week, this award highlights events that make a significant, positive impact on the farming community across Northern Ireland.
Reflecting on the achievement, RUAS Group Operations Director Rhonda Geary commented, “What a night we’ve had here at the Crowne Plaza! We are absolutely delighted to accept this award on behalf of the volunteers, sponsors, and staff who have worked tirelessly to elevate our Championships year after year.
“We would like to dedicate this award to our exhibitors and the hardworking farmers who continually strive to ensure that only the finest local food reaches our tables.”
Now in its eighth year, the Championships have grown into an unmissable occasion for those involved in the commercial beef and lamb sectors. Showcasing the very best stock from across the province, this premier show and sale not only highlights excellence in the ring but also ensures local producers achieve exceptional prices for their animals.
Pictured at the event were RUAS staff alongside Deputy President David Cunningham, as well as Beef & Lamb Committee Chairman Willie McElroy and Deputy Chairman Nigel Hamill.
Our heartfelt congratulations go to the Royal Ulster Premier Beef & Lamb Championships organising team. We’re excited to continue working together long into the future.
