KHECC Ltd, the operator of Eikon Exhibition Centre, is thrilled to announce that three of its esteemed team members have been nominated for prestigious honours at the upcoming NI Farming Awards 2024. These nominations are a testament to their remarkable contributions to the agricultural sector, as well as their dedication to innovation, diversification, and teamwork.
Alexandra Woods, the Chairman of the KHECC Ltd Board has been shortlisted for the Farm Diversification Award. This category celebrates rural enterprises that have successfully expanded their business activities, seizing new growth opportunities beyond their traditional operations. Alexandra’s forward-thinking leadership has been instrumental in driving the expansion of KHECC Ltd and showcasing its success as a multi-faceted rural business.
Former KHECC Ltd Chairman Jayne Harkness-Bones has also earned a much-deserved nomination, this time in the Innovation in Agriculture category. This award highlights individuals and businesses pushing the boundaries of innovation within the agricultural industry. Jayne’s cutting-edge approach has had a lasting impact on the sector, ensuring sustainability and success for future generations.
Meanwhile, the Unsung Hero Award has recognised the tireless work of Karen Hughes, a beloved and long-standing member of the KHECC Ltd team. This award honours individuals who go above and beyond in their roles without seeking recognition. Karen’s exceptional commitment, kindness, and work ethic have made her an indispensable part of the organisation, and her nomination reflects the profound impact she has had on colleagues and the wider community.
The NI Farming Awards 2024 will be held on the 9th of October at the Crowne Plaza in Belfast, where winners will be announced in front of industry leaders and peers.
