The Royal Ulster Premier Beef & Lamb Championships will return to the Eikon Exhibition Centre, on Tuesday, 26th November 2024. This premier event, which showcases the very best in local livestock, promises to be a highlight of the agricultural calendar.
Exhibitors are now invited to submit their entries, with the Prize Schedule available online and entries closing promptly at 5pm on Friday, 25th October 2024.
This year’s competition is set to be fiercer than ever, as top beef cattle exhibitors vie for the prestigious title of Supreme Champion, while the lamb classes will focus on the highly anticipated Best Butcher Pair. The competition, known for its rich history and rigorous judging, is a key opportunity for farmers to showcase the exceptional quality of their livestock and secure top industry accolades.
After the conclusion of the showing, an exciting auction will begin, where all competition stock will be offered for sale.
The auction schedule is as follows:
• Calves: 4:45pm
• Lambs: 6:15pm
• Beef Cattle: 7:00pm
This year's event brings an exciting new addition to the competition. A special prize, the Rogers Family Perpetual Cup, will be awarded to the highest placed exhibitor-bred animal in each of the cattle sections. The recipient will also earn the esteemed title of Bred & Fed Champion, further celebrating local breeders’ dedication to producing top-quality livestock.
