The Eikon Exhibition Centre is proud to announce its support for St Patricks GAC Lisburn, reinforcing a shared commitment to community development, local sport, and creating opportunities for future generations across the Lisburn area.

As one of Northern Ireland’s leading event venues, the Eikon Exhibition Centre has long been committed to supporting organisations that make a meaningful impact within their communities. Located at Balmoral Park, the Eikon Exhibition Centre hosts a diverse calendar of exhibitions, trade shows, sporting events, and conferences, welcoming hundreds of thousands of visitors each year. Alongside its role as a major events destination, the Venue continues to support local clubs that help strengthen community connections and promote positive engagement across the region.

Established in 1965, St Patricks GAC Lisburn has become a cornerstone of Gaelic games within Lisburn and the wider Belfast area. As the city’s only Gaelic Athletic Club, St Patricks has spent nearly six decades promoting Gaelic football while fostering values of teamwork, inclusivity, respect, and community spirit.

The club has grown significantly over the years and now boasts more than 250 active members participating across a wide range of male and female teams, from youth development programmes through to senior competition. The club’s continued success reflects the dedication of its volunteers, coaches, players, and supporters who work tirelessly to create opportunities for people of all ages to get involved in sport.

Since moving to Kirkwoods Playing Fields in 1995, St Patricks GAC has developed into an important sporting and social hub for the local community. The grounds regularly welcome clubs and visitors from across Antrim and beyond, with ongoing investment helping to further improve facilities and secure a strong future for Gaelic games in the area.

As part of this new association, the Eikon Exhibition Centre has supported the installation of a new pitch-side board at Kirkwoods Playing Fields — a visible symbol of the connection between two organisations that share a strong belief in community, ambition, and local development.

Theresa Morrissey, Chief Executive Officer of the Eikon Exhibition Centre, said the association reflects the Venue’s ongoing commitment to supporting organisations that positively influence the lives of local people.
“Community organisations such as St Patrick’s GAC play an invaluable role in bringing people together, encouraging participation, and creating opportunities for young people and families alike. We are delighted to support the club and look forward to seeing its continued growth and success in the years ahead.”

The Eikon Exhibition Centre is honoured to support such a proud and historic club and looks forward to seeing St Patrick’s GAC Lisburn continue to grow both on and off the pitch for many years to come.
